The Russian Ministry of Agriculture confirms the forecast for agricultural products’ export of $40 bln in 2022, Minister Dmitry Patrushev said on Monday.
The amount of international supplies is already above $33 bln at the moment; agricultural products’ exports can be about $40 bln over the year, the Minister said.
The agro-industrial sector is steadily developing and supports the country’s food security, Patrushev said. "Volumes and the range of goods enable us to cover our needs in primary foods, and I would like to pay attention to absence of the necessity of using the mechanism of the so-called parallel import in our agricultural sector," the Minister noted.
Russia is also keeping the net exporter status of foods for the third year in succession and exports more food than imports, Patrushev added.
