‘Ruposhi Bangla’ begins at Shilpakala Academy

Bangladesh Photojournalist Association and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy jointly lifted the curtain on a ten-day photography exhibition titled Ruposhi Bangla at the Gallery 2 of the National Art Gallery of the BSA in the capital on Thursday.

The exhibition is featuring 88 photographs captured by the members of the BPJA depicting the scenic beauty of the country and mega projects in Bangladesh.

The event was inaugurated by information and broadcasting minister Hasan Mahmud. It was presided over by director general of the BSA Liaquat Ali Lucky.

The exhibition is an outcome of a photography competition.

Reaz Ahmed Sumon won the first prize, Mohammad Ponir Hossain won the second prize and Lutfor Rahman bagged the third prize at the competition.

Muhammad Mostafigur Rahman and Md Mahabub Hossain Khan jointly received award in the special mention category. The winners received crests, certificates and prize money.

Photographer Swapan Sarkar and AKM Mohsin jointly received Barenya Shilpi Sammanana 2023.

Besides, late photojournalists Mufti Munir and Mir Mohiuddin Sohan were honoured posthumously at the event. The exhibition will end on November 25.
