If any leader runs a country with motherly affection, definitely people will support her, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina now on a five-day official visit to United Arab Emirates (UAE) tells at a high-level panel titled “Redefining the Future for Women,” there.
Country’s people believe they, their religion and independence are safe in the hands of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Raman’s daughter. She achieved support and faith from people and it is her main strength.
Her father taught her about the value of patriotism, and shared his (Bangabandhu) deep love for of this country. Bangabandhu’s dream was to build a repression-deprivation-free, democratic and non-communal state where people irrespective of religion, caste, creed and profession will live in peace and comfort and every human being will get food, clothe, shelter and treatment facilities. Unfortunately, Sheikh Mujib could not materialise the dream as the anti-liberation radical forces assassinated him along with most of his family members on August 15, 1975.

Sheikh Hasina returned to the country in 1981 after spending six years in exile after the tragic incident of 1975 and since then has devoted herself in the struggle for restoring democracy. Her only goal is to bring smile on the country’s people’s face through materialising the dream of her father.
Despite being the daughter of Bangabandhu and prime minister as well, her path was never smooth. But love and affection of the people of country continue inspiring her to go ahead braving all odds.
There were several assassination attempts including August 21 grenade attack during the rule of military dictator HM Ershad and Bangladesh Nationalist Party. But the Almighty Allah might have saved her from the heinous grenade attack on August 21, 2004 to allow her to carry out welfare activities for the people of Bangladesh.
Our country is moving forward at an indomitable pace under the skilled and visionary leadership of Sheikh Hasina. Country’s people will evaluate Sheikh Hasina what she has done for them in the last 13 years. People imbued with the spirit of Liberation War will always choose her to run the country so they can get a better future.
