RU organizes international conference on IC4ME2

A two-day 5th international conference on Computer, Communication, Chemical, Materials and Electronic Engineering (IC4ME2) was organized at Rajshahi University (RU).

Faculty of Engineering of the university hosted the conference with the main theme of networking and collaboration.

RU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor M Abdus Sobhan inaugurated the conference on Thursday organized by the Faculty of Engineering at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Senate Bhaban.

VC of of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology, Professor Md Rafiqul Islam Sheikh and RU Pro- VC’s Professor Ananda Kumar Saha, Professor Dr Chowdhury Md Zakaria and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology Professor Seliya Shahnaz spoke as special guests.

Professor Mubarak Hossain Khan, Scientific Advisor of Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation, addressed the ceremony as focal person. Dean of the Engineering Faculty Professor Ekramul Hamid delivered the welcome speech and Md Babul Islam, general secretary of the conference welcomed the participants.

Around 400 papers was presented in 24 technical sessions in the two-day conference besides three keynote papers and five invited talks. Apart from this, a poster session and an innovative project exhibition was also held.

Teachers, researchers, students and professional experts from Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Information and Communication Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Chemistry and Chemistry Engineering and related subjects from the country and abroad took part in the grand event.

Registrar of the University Professor M A Bari, Proctor Professor Md Lutfar Rahman, Student Advisor Professor Laila Arjuman Banu and Administrator of Public Administration Professor Prabhas Kumar Karmakar were also present.

The inaugural ceremony was organized by Associate Professor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Cynthia Shabnam Mou.
