RU is now 1st cashless campus in Bangladesh

Rajshahi University (RU) is becoming the first cashless campus in Bangladesh. The university has signed an agreement with Bangladesh Bank to make this happen. Students are excited about getting quick services and solving cash problems easily. Professor Golam Sabbir Sattar, Vice-Chancellor,Rajshahi University said that the benefits of this new system will be available from next year after completing the process this year.

The university has already started working on cashless transactions. This change is part of the rapid technological and industrial revolution. Currencies and transaction methods are evolving, and Rajshahi University wants to keep up with these changes by becoming a 'Cashless Society' with the help of Bangladesh Bank.

According to university officials, they have recently signed an agreement with Bangladesh Bank. The initial steps for cashless transactions have already begun on campus. Authorities are looking into different ways to make digital transactions easier and safer.

Students are happy about this change. They said that cashless transactions will save them from standing in long lines during admissions and exams. Also, the risks linked to cash transactions will no longer be a concern.

Professor Golam Sabbir Sattar, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, said that once this system is introduced, students will be able to do all their work using one card. The university is working hard to achieve this goal.

Rajshahi University started on July 6, 1953, with only 161 students. Now, more than 26,000 students are studying in 12 faculties and 59 departments.
