Armed Police Battalion (APBn) personnel have detained a kingpin of Rohingya terror ‘Salman Shah Group’ from Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar.
The detainee was identified as Salman Shah Group leader alias Shahidul Islam, son of Sona
Mia, hailed from Leda Rohingya camp.
APBn-16 battalion commander SP Hemayetur Rahman said that the law enforcers conducted a drive in hilly area of Leda Rohingya camp of Hinla union under Teknaf upazila on Friday afternoon and detained the terror leader with Yaba pills.
Couple of terror groups are active in Rohingya camp areas in Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar.
They are involved with drug peddling, human trafficking, robber, killing, kidnapping, extortion, and other criminal activities.
A case was filed with Teknaf police station against him.
