A suspected robber was killed in a reported gunfight with police at Hakimpur in Dinajpur early on Friday. The deceased was identified as Kahidul Islam, 41, son of Salamat Prodha of Dhawa Nashipur village of the upazila. Police claimed that there of their members were injured during the gunfight.
The incident of gunfight took place at Kashiadanga village under Hakimpur at about 3:00 am. Abdur RazzakAkondo, officer-in-charge (OC) of Hakimpur Police Station, confirmed the matter. He said that A case was filed with the police station in this connection. One pipe gun, bullets and shells of bullets were recovered from the spot.
