Md Salah Uddin, Deputy Assistant Engineer, Phulpur Sub-Division under Mymensingh Division, Department of Roads and Highways, died on Wednesday afternoon while on duty. Engineer Md Salah Uddin's body was buried at Jhalai Paikai village in Nagarpur upazila of Manikganj on Thursday morning. He left his mother, wife, a son and a daughter. A prayer Mahfil was organized at the Mymensingh Zone Office on Thursday afternoon to seek forgiveness of his soul.
Mohammad Wahiduzzaman, executive engineer of Mymensingh division, said Md Salah Uddin, a deputy assistant engineer working at Haluaghat in the district, fell ill on Wednesday afternoon and was first admitted to the Upazila Health Complex at Haluaghat. He was rushed to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Upon receiving the news, the officials of different levels of the RSA rushed to the hospital. The news of his death casts a shadow of deep mourning over all.
