Four people, including a child, were killed and three others were injured in two separate road accidents at Kalihati and Mirzapur in Tangail on Friday.
Three of the deceased were identified as Abdullah Al Okkhor, 6, Husseine Ara, 68 and Abul Hossain, 32.
Police and local sources said in Kalihati, a private car collided head on with a truck in Bagutia area of the Upazila in the morning, leaving one dead on the spot and five others injured critically. The injured were rushed to Tangail General Hospital where two people, including the child, succumbed to their injuries.
On the other hand, a motorcyclist lost his control and hit a roadside island in Gorai area of Mirzapur in the district. The motorcyclist was killed on the spot in the incident.
