Two people died instantly when their truck lost control and collided with a van on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Cumilla Sadar Dakshin upazila on Saturday at 8:30 am.
Moinamati Highway Police Station's Officer-in-Charge, Md. Ikbal Bahar, confirmed the accident.
Police report that the truck was speeding, causing the driver to lose control and crash into the van ahead. Both occupants of the truck died at the scene.
Authorities have recovered the vehicles and the bodies. The victims are believed to be the truck driver and his assistant, though their identities are not yet confirmed.
