Community Policing Day-2023 rally, discussion meeting, crest and certificate giving ceremony was held on Saturday morning on Chattogram Railway Police Station premises at the initiative of Chattogram Railway District.
Railway District Superintendent of Police Mohammad Hasan Chowdhury was present as the chief guest on the occasion, Assistant Superintendent of Police Urmi Dev, Chattogram Railway Thana OC Md. Mazaharur Karim were present as special guests.
Various officers and forces of railway police, members of railway security forces, various officials of Chattogram station, school teachers, traders of Chattogram station and local public were present on the occasion. This year Chattogram Railway District SI (Retd) Md. Salauddin Noman was selected as the best community policing officer of Chattogram Railway District and Chattogram Railway Station Master Md. Shafiqul Islam as the best community policing member. In the meeting, all discussed the prevention of stone pelting on moving trains, smuggling and elimination of drugs through community policing and beat policing.
Chattogram Railway Station Community Policing Committee President and Station Manager Md. Ratan Kumar Chowdhury presided over the meeting organized on the occasion of Community Policing Day-2023. Community Policing Day was also observed by Laksam Railway Police Station at Laksam Railway Station and Chandpur Railway Police Station at Chandpur Railway Station.
