People never make a mistake as they have correct and unbiased judgement about the situation prevailing in the country, but sometimes some leaders do wrong out of lust for power.
The American people did not make any mistake by choosing Democratic nominee Joe Biden as the 46th president of the United States of America in the election held in 2020. Biden is known as a very reasonable person and not ill-tempered, reckless and unguarded in talking and dealing with other things and persons.
The US voters have clearly understood that America has lost its image as the global leader due to Trump’s indiscreet and rash rhetoric during the last four years of his tenure. The international communities were passing a sort of tense period in dealing with the Trump’s administration. Even the NATO members, who are fighting a war on terror together with America, are somewhat piqued and it is learnt that Trump has become a laughingstock to them because of his abrupt policy changes.
The American voters, especially the white Americans, have also become indifferent to Trump as he was not paying respect to democracy and what he says is inconsistent with the American values and ideals. By tradition, America is dedicated to promoting democracy throughout the world.
By nature, Trump was not respectful to his opponents. Because of his disrespectful attitude to the national causes, whole America began to divide into two groups. The common Americans do not believe him and they cannot shoulder Trump anymore as he has become a burden on them and on the other hand, Joe Biden proved himself as the most reasonable and reliable person to the American people as well as to the international community.
In 2016 election, American common people voted Trump to power despite his multiplicity of drawbacks to become the president of the United States of America. At the same time, Democratic nominee Hilary Clinton was indifferent to curbing international terrorism and on the other hand, Trump was showing his seriousness to destroy terrorists and his determination to protect the American interests in the world which worked seriously in that election. But this time the Americans are worried about their dented image as the global leader.
The US voters are convinced that the decaying glory can be restored by Joe Biden as he has a clean image and the Democrats usually pursue the policy to maintain friendly relationship with the international communities and their global allies. And that’s why, Joe Biden got enormous American support.
In so many ways Trump has paved his path of destruction himself. His $750-tax-return submitted in fiscal years 2016 and 2017 left him in a serious image crisis as the US taxpayers can easily understand that a person who has $421 million loans cannot submit return with such an scanty tax figure, which suits only a man of the lowest income group. And such an act by a president of the United States of America is incredible to people and they are not ready to believe that such an example can be set before the US citizens.
This has dented the image of Trump a lot and a section of voters did not excuse Trump. Moreover, the killing of a man in police custody and Trump’s cold and apathetic comments, following the nationwide anti-establishment movement and the deadly wording about the devastating coronavirus pandemic, which has claimed lives of hundreds of thousands of people, will have to be scrutinised as it would have created a sort of impact on the polls.
The long-standing immigration issue, in which the fate of 11 million undocumented people is hanging in the balance, will be solved as Mr Joe Biden has been involved in policy framing of Democrats who are in favour of giving legality to those undocumented immigrants, who have clean image and are not involved in any criminal activities.
The most important healthcare for the people will be insured by Biden administration as the Democrats are committed to providing affordable healthcare. Personally Mr Joe Biden was in favour of Obamacare which ensured health care for all, especially the issue of poor people was addressed in the statute.
It is said that though Obamacare charged more money for the monthly premium by the policy-holders, the malpractice, which involved billions of dollars in the health sector by some unscrupulous pharmacists and other related people, has stopped once for all because of Obamacare.
Affordable housing scheme introduced after the economic recession in 2008 by Obama administration will hopefully be more effective under the Biden administration.
The leaders of the Democratic Party are pledge-bound to resolve these three issues -- affordable housing, healthcare and immigration. Education for all is also on the priority list of the Democrats.
The peace-loving and common Americans hope that the social, economic and political tension, which was prevailing during the last four years, will not be taking away peace from their lives in the Biden administration.
The international communities are somewhat relaxed that there would not be any war and trade war in near future as Biden is quite reasonable and appreciated at home and abroad for that quality. It is known to all that the Democrats are by nature against war. It can be claimed that the American people did not make a mistake by choosing Joe Biden as the next president.
