A rickshaw puller was brutally killed in Gazipur. It was alleged that miscreants, forcefully inserted a plastic bottle into his anus, which led to his death. The incident took place at Ghonapara village in ward 7 of Kaliganj municipality.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Quddus.
According to sources, he went out of his house at around 11:30 pm on Saturday. Later at around 12 am he returned home screaming. He was screaming and said, “Save me, or else I'll die, take me to the doctor quickly.”
Later, when he was rushed to the Upazila Health Complex, the doctor saw his serious condition and asked him to take him to Dhaka. He was later admitted to a private hospital in Dhaka. There, at around 3:30 pm, a plastic bottle was removed from his anus.
On Sunday afternoon, on the way home from the hospital, his condition deteriorated and he was taken to the hospital again. There the doctor declared him dead.
