AKM Riazul Hasan has been appointed as the new Chairman of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB). The Ministry of Education announced his appointment on Saturday. Hasan, who is a senior official from the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE), will take over the role immediately and continue until further notice.
According to the official order, Professor Riazul Hasan, who is from the Department of Political Science, will receive his salary and allowances based on his current pay scale. He will also get other benefits that come with the Chairman’s position.
Hasan’s appointment comes at a critical time for NCTB, as the board is responsible for the development and implementation of educational curricula across Bangladesh. The board plays a key role in shaping the education system by preparing textbooks and ensuring quality education materials for students.
