The schedule for the six-month evaluation of classes VI to IX has been revised for all secondary educational institutions in the country, including Madrasas, for the 2024 academic year. The Directorate of Madrasas has sent the updated schedule to all institution heads, as some subject exams for HSC, Alim, and equivalent examinations coincided with the initial evaluation dates.
According to the revised plan, the half-yearly evaluations for classes VI to IX will commence on July 7 and will continue until July 30. This assessment will cover 10 subjects, and the specific dates for each subject have been detailed in the new schedule.
Previously, the National Curriculum Outline 2021 mandated summative assessments every six months and annually. The six-monthly assessments were typically completed by late June or early July. However, this year, the schedule was disrupted due to national elections, a cold spell, fasting, Eid-ul-Fitr, and a heat wave in the first half of 2024.
Due to these disruptions and the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha and summer holidays in June, it was decided to start the evaluations on July 7. The Directorate has instructed all institution heads to take the necessary measures to implement the revised schedule effectively. This change aims to ensure smooth conduct of evaluations without further interruptions.
