Reunion and reception ceremony of the students of batch ’93 and ’94 of Mulgram Union High School were held on the school campus in Chatmohar Upazila of Pabna on Tuesday.
Former student and current Principal of Mulgram Union High School Akhez Uddin presided over the programme. Former Principal of the school Ismail Hossain attended the programme as the chief guest. Heroic freedom fighter and retired Fisheries Officer Roshan Alam inaugurated the event along with the invited guests. Former meritorious students of the school were present at the programme as special guests.
The programme was inaugurated by reciting the Holy Quran. Many of the former students and their families started attending the programme from the morning. Many of them met and talked with each other after almost 30 years. The school teachers also joined them on the school premises. A colorful procession was brought out around 10:30 am on this occasion.
Convener of the programme Amzad Hossain and Joint Convener Milon Mallik gave the welcome speech at the programme. Principal Alhaz Ismail Hossain, Alhaz Sadar Uddin, former teacher Aftab Hossain, Consulting Engineer of Asian Development Bank Osman Gani, Deputy Secretary of Technical and Madrasa Education Division, Ministry of Education, Md Abdur Rahim and others spoke at the discussion.
Aftab Hossain, Executive Director of non-governmental organization PCD Alhaz Shafiqul Islam, Chairman of Department of Physical Education and Sports Science of Rajshahi University Salahuddin Salim, Executive Director of Microcredit Regulatory Authority Noor Alam Mehdi Sanju, Assistant Professor of Economics Department of Chatmohar Women's Degree College Mahbubur Rahman, Land Officer Afsar Ali and others gave commemorative speech at the programme.
Posthumous commemorations to deceased teachers and commemorations to ex-teachers, ex-employees, meritorious students were given at the programme. Raffle draw and cultural programs were held at night. Kamal Hossain and Abdul Quddus moderated the events.
