The 6th Reunion and Annual General Meeting of Dhaka University Botany Alumni Association (DUBAA) was held today 13 May, 2022 at Curzon Hall auditorium of the university. DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the day-long program of DUBAA as chief guest.
Presided over by DUBAA President Dr. Md. Athar Uddin the inaugural function was also addressed by Ms. Meher Afroz Chumki, MP as Guest of Honor while President of Dhaka University Alumni Association A K Azad was present as special guest. DUBBA General Secretary Prof. Dr. Md. Abul Bashar delivered welcome speech.
DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman said, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina are former illustrious and greatest students of Dhaka University. We are proud of them. Under the dynamic leadership of PM Sheikh Hasina Bangladesh has become a role model of development in the world.
He called upon the teachers, researchers and students of the university to engage themselves with more fundamental researches, innovations and creativities for further development of the country.
Three distinguished Alumni were accorded reception and 58 students of the department were given scholarships in the function.
