Residents of Lohagara instructed to stay in isolation for 14 days

The upazila administration has instructed the residents of Lohagarah in Narail to stay in isolation for 14 days.

The decision was taken at a discussion meeting on prevention and action to be taken in the Lohagarh Upazila Parishad hall room on Monday in view of the increase in the number of corona patients. 

Due to the increase in the number of corona cases in Lohagarh municipal area, it was decided at the meeting that all the shops and markets except the drug and fertilizer and pesticide shops under the municipality will remain closed for a total of 14 days from July 6 to July 21. 

However, it will be open on July 11, 14 and 16 from 8 am to 4 pm. No vans, easybikes or three-wheelers will be allowed in the municipal area at this time. 

The Corona Virus Prevention Committee has been announcing the decision in the city since Tuesday morning.

The meeting was chaired by Lohagarh Upazila Parishad Chairman Abdul Hannan Runu Sikder and was attended by, among others, MP Mashrafe bin Mortuza's father Golam Mostafa Swapan, Additional Deputy Commissioner Md Yarul Islam, Additional Superintendent of Police Sheikh Imran and people of different classes and professions in the area.

At the meeting, Narail-2 MP Mashrafe bin Mortuza joined in via video conference and called on everyone to stay at home and pray for his family.
