Local Government Minister Md. Tajul Islam has been instructed to remove the waste before sunrise on the day after animal sacrifice in the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha.
At the same time, he also said that animal sacrifice should be done at a specific place. He told this while briefing reporters at a meeting in the conference room of the local government department at the secretariat on Thursday noon.
On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha,
This meeting was organized to review the overall preparation for the management of animal markets, the implementation of animal sacrifice at specific places and the waste management.
Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Atiqul Islam, South City Corporation representative, Gazipur City Corporation Mayor Zayeda Khatun and officials of various ministries and related departments were present in the meeting.
The local government minister said that the animal waste must be removed before sunrise the day after the animal sacrifice in the upcoming Eid. Waste disposal should be completed at night if possible.
Waste must be removed before sunrise. After that, if any waste remains it will not pollute the environment. I think two city corporations will prove successful. Even after that, if any sacrifice has been made, it should also be removed. Because animal sacrifice will be continued for a few days after Eid. That's why the next few days have to pay more attention.
He said, I know you will do it before that. Even so, no waste should be seen anywhere after sunrise. 2.5 million animals will be sacrificed in Dhaka city.
If there is a little delay somewhere in such a big event, it can be accepted.
