Religious Affairs Adviser AFM Khalid Hossain commended madrasah students for their significant contributions to the July Revolution,
On Thursday, in a meeting at the Dhanialapara Baitush Sharaf Complex in Chattogram, he highlighted that while the media has focused on the role of ordinary students, the remarkable efforts and sacrifices of madrasah students have not received adequate attention.
Khalid Hossain urged the media to better highlight the madrasah students' involvement and their struggles during the movement.
He assured injured students that the government is committed to their treatment and rehabilitation. Additionally, voluntary organisations and charitable individuals are providing support. The adviser also promised to address any wrongful legal cases against students.
During his visit, the adviser was welcomed by Rahbar Allama Muhammad Abdul Hai Nadvi and discussed plans to make the Ministry of Religion more transparent and accountable. He also pledged to work towards making Hajj costs more affordable.
Earlier, he visited the Islamic Foundation’s divisional office in Chattogram, where he expressed his intent to rejuvenate its activities.
