Nabinagar's Vitibishara Dakshin Para and the Jamuna river estuary connection bridge on both sides of the road and the installation of low-quality bricks raised suspicions in the minds of the people. This was immediately publicised on social media and some online media platfroms.
When the Nabinagar Upazila administration took note of this and instructed the development contractor to rebuild it, it started repairing the bulk that collapsed yesterday and replaced the old bricks with new bricks. Nabinagar upazila administration informed about this.
Few months ago, there was news in various media about this, the matter immediately came to the notice of Nabinagar Upazila Engineer’s Department, at the same time instructing the concerned contractor to rebuild the road.
The contractor resumed work on the road. It is to be noted that in the last few days, the contractor had completed the work on the bridge and road connecting the Vitibishara Dakshin Para and the estuary of the Jamuna, but before a month had elapsed, 3/4 of the site walls on the road collapsed due to heavy rains.
From the beginning, the local people have been complaining about the quality of the bricks, so the work of removing the old bricks and installing new ones brought relief among the locals.
