Two key administrative positions have been filled with new heads: the Power Development Board (PDB), and the Rural Electrification Board (REB). The government is undergoing a larger reorganisation process that includes these appointments.
Army Maj Gen SM Zia-ul-Azim has been named the new chairman of the REB, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Thursday.
At the Power Development Board, Rezaul Karim, currently a board member, has been designated as the chairman. He will assume his new role starting September, succeeding Engineer Mahbubur Rahman, who is currently in the position.
