A delegation led by Agriculture Minister Mohammad Abdur Razzaque have left for the Netherlands and the United Kingdom to increase cooperation and export of fresh vegetables, fruits and processed agricultural products in the European market.
The 15-member delegation left for the Netherlands on Monday night. They will later leave the Netherlands for the UK on November 13.
During the visit, the delegation will hold discussions with heads of various government departments and agencies on agriculture and food as well as leading private entrepreneurs, businessmen and chain shop. At the same time, they will visit agricultural firms, research centers, accreditation labs etc. and exchange experiences to increase the processing of agricultural products in the country.
The delegation includes officials of the ministry and agency as well as representatives of the country's leading agricultural exporters and food processing companies.
The delegation consists of Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, Chairman and CEO of Pran RFL Group, FH Ansari, Managing Director and CEO of ACI Agro Link, ParvezSaiful Islam, Chief Operating Officer of Square Food and Beverage,KaziInam Ahmed, Director of Gemcon Group, MdMostofa Kamal, Chairman of Meghna Group of Industries, Nurul Islam, Director, Globepack Foods and Beverages (UK) Ltd. and Jahangir Hossain, President, Bangladesh Fruits, Vegetable and Allied Products Exporters Association. The delegation is scheduled to return to the country on November 18.
