Leader of the Opposition in Parliament and Jatiya Party Chief Patron RaushanErshad held a meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday.
Raushan paid the courtesy call on the Prime Minister at the PM’s official Ganabhaban residence in the capital Dhaka on Tuesday afternoon.
"A discussion on the next general election was held between the two leaders during the meeting," PM's Deputy Press Secretary KM Shakhawat Moon told a media briefing.
The Prime Minister reiterated her commitment that the 12th JatiyaSangsad election will be free and fair and the people of the country will spontaneously take part in the election by exercising their voting rights, he said.
MashiurRahamanRanga, MP, Raushan's son Rahgir Al Mahi (Saad) Ershad, her spokesperson KaziMamunur Rashid and Saad's wife were present.
