The recreational and tourist spots have become overcrowded with hundreds of rushing people of all ages since the Eid-ul-Fitr day to enjoy the pleasure of the festivity in the district.
A relaxing atmosphere has been prevailing for the fourth consecutive day amid excellent weather since Eid-ul-Fitr day as the soothing breeze continues blowing through the calm nature and partially sunny sky with floating scattered clouds.
The recreational and tourist spots are witnessing a considerable rush of people to enjoy the happiness of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr festival without any restrictions after almost a three-year gap due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The enthusiastic people of all ages, particularly youths, adolescents and young girls, wearing colorful dresses are visiting the entertaining places making those overcrowded and buoyant till today in the district where an Eid fever still persists.
In Rangpur city, people are thronging Rangpur Amusement Park and Zoo, Chikley Lake Water Park, 'Proyas' Entertainment Park, Fantasy Zone, 'Tajhat Zamindar Bari', 'Rupkotha Theme Park', 'Surovi Uddyan', Town Hall premises, Zila School ground and other recreational spots to get refreshed and entertained. They are rushing at recreational spots like 'Vinnojogot', 'Ananda Nagar', Teesta Road Bridge, Sheikh Hasina Teesta Bridge, Teesta Railway Bridge, 'Neelamborer Jalmahal', 'Ananda Nagar' in Pirganj, 'Maya Bhuban' and 'Bharadaho Beel' in Badarganj, 'Ali Baba Theme Park' in Pirgachha, Teesta Barrage Canal and other areas outside the city.
Since the Eid day, many people have been rushing to the 'Teesta Park' on the Teesta river bank in Kawnia upazila and restaurants on the Teesta riverbank at the northern Kakina end of the Sheikh Hasina Teesta Bridge of Gangachara upazila in the district. To attract more visitors, all recreational places have been colorfully decorated with new looks and amusement flavor amid admirable security measures.
Hundreds of boys, girls, students, youths and children with their parents wearing colorful dresses are gathering at these places where temporary fairs, different amusement rides for children and shops have been set up to sell different handcrafts, foods and toys.
School students Nuhara, Munni, Nasima, Protik and Srijon at different recreational spots said they were excited to enjoy the attractiveness there without restrictions almost after three years since the pandemic outbreak.
Couple Mizanur Rahman and Sharmin Bithi at Rangpur Zoo said they enjoyed riding on 'Nagordola' with their two school-going sons and observed various animals and birds there after visiting the 'Rupkotha Theme Park' in the city.
The Chikley Lake Water Park in Rangpur city has become one of the most attractive places for hundreds of visiting people to get pleasure from the magnificence of nature and share the pleasure of Eid-ul-Fitr festivity.
University students Moslema, Zaheda, Munni and Jahura Khatun and college students Bulbuli, Mohua and Nasima while visiting the Chikley Lake Water Park said they enjoyed playing on rides and travelling by speed boats on the water park.
Businessman Abdul Wahed on the Sheikh Hasina Teesta Bridge at Mohipur Ghat on the juncture of Rangpur and Lalmonirhat districts said he came there with family members to see the bridge, river and enjoy the beauty of nature.
Housewives Gulnahar and Zobeda Khatun while visiting the Teesta Railway Bridge at Kawnia upazila with their husbands and children said they enjoyed loveliness and natural beauty there after three years.
Deputy Curator of Rangpur Amusement Park and Zoo Dr. Md. Amber Ali Talukder said thousands of people are visiting the entertainment center generously to breathe a sigh of relief after almost three years without the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions.
"We have taken all preparations keeping in mind the large number of people of all ages to the zoo increases several times during the Eid vacations every year to make their visits smooth and enjoyable," he added.
