The Ramu Cantonment of the Bangladesh Army has provided free medical aid to the local helpless and distressed people. On Sunday at the Ukhia Degree College ground in Cox's Bazar Ukhia Upazila, a team of specialist doctors from Ramu Cantonment distributed spectacles among the eye patients through a day-long medical campaign. GOC, 10 Infantry Division and Area Commander Cox's Bazar Area Major General Md. Fakhrul Ahsan inspected the activities of BSP, NDU, PSC Medical Camp. Military and civilian officials and local people's representatives were present at the time.
It is to be noted that under the direction of the Chief of Army Staff, the Army is conducting various public works including distribution of winter clothes and relief to the helpless and distressed people of the area during the winter season and providing free medical services.
Such public service activities of the army are playing a special role in protecting the health of the destitute and helpless people as well as protecting them from the cold.
Meanwhile, Ramu Cantonment sources said that a team of specialists from Ramu 10 Infantry Division has already distributed winter clothes and provided free medical services to helpless and distressed people in Jhilangja of Cox's Bazar Sadar Upazila, Rubber Bagan of Ramu Upazila, Gorjonia and Inani of Ukhia Upazila. Besides, such service activities will continue in future also.
