Md Rakib Ullah, the Director (Curriculum) of the Bangladesh Technical Education Board, has been appointed as the new chairman of the board. The appointment order was issued by the Technical and Madrasa Education Division under the Ministry of Education on Sunday.

According to the terms of his appointment, Rakib Ullah will receive a salary and other allowances as per the pay scale approved by the government. His appointment aims to bring new leadership and direction to the board, which oversees technical education across the country.

Meanwhile, in another order, Professor Md Mamun-ul Haque, who was serving as the acting chairman of the Bangladesh Technical Education Board, has been relieved from his duties. He has been reassigned to the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE).

Rakib Ullah is expected to use his experience and knowledge to further improve the technical education system in Bangladesh. His leadership will be crucial in guiding the board through its ongoing projects and initiatives, which aim to enhance the quality of technical education and vocational training.

The changes in leadership come at a time when the Technical Education Board is focusing on modernizing its curriculum and implementing new policies to better equip students with skills needed in the job market. Rakib Ullah’s appointment is seen as a step towards achieving these goals, as he has a long history of working within the board and understands the challenges facing the technical education sector.

The board and its stakeholders are hopeful that with Rakib Ullah at the helm, there will be positive developments in technical education, benefiting students and institutions nationwide.
