Actor Rajpal Yadav's property in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, has been seized by the Central Bank of India due to an unpaid loan. The loan, worth Rs 3 crore, was taken from the bank’s Mumbai branch at Bandra Kurla Complex. To secure the loan, Yadav had used properties owned by his father, Naurang Yadav, as collateral.
After failing to repay the loan, the amount grew to Rs 11 crore. On August 8, a team from the bank arrived in Shahjahanpur and sealed the property. The property is located in the upscale Seth Enclave area of Shahjahanpur, and bank employees placed locks on the gate.
Rajpal Yadav is a well-known actor with over 150 films to his credit. He is famous for his roles in Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, Kannada, and Bengali films, particularly for his comedy and versatile acting skills. Yadav, who is 53 years old, is originally from Shahjahanpur.
This is not the first time Yadav has faced legal trouble due to unpaid loans. In the past, he was jailed for failing to repay a loan taken to make his film *Ata Pata Lapata*. In that project, Yadav directed the film, and his wife, Radha Yadav, was the producer. Unfortunately, the film did not perform well at the box office, leading to financial losses for Yadav.
In 2022, Yadav was also accused of accidentally hitting a student with his scooter while shooting in Uttar Pradesh. The student alleged that the incident occurred while he was buying books on Bank Road.
Rajpal Yadav continues to be a prominent figure in the Indian film industry despite these legal issues.
