Rain or thundershowers with intense lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over the country.
The places are Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions; at a few places over Dhaka and Chattogram divisions and at one or two places over Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country, said a Met office bulletin.
A mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Rajshahi, Madaripur, Chandpur and Bagerhat and it may continue.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it also said.

Country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded by 36.8 degree Celsius in Madaripur, while minimum temperature was recorded by 20.8 degree Celsius in Rajarhat of Rangpur.
The sun sets at 6.36 pm on Friday and rises at 5.13 am on Saturday in the capital.
Meanwhile, a low pressure area has formed over Gulf of Martaban and adjoining Myanmar and now lies over the same area as a well-marked low.
The trough of low extends from Bihar to North Bay across West Bengal and adjoining Southern part of Bangladesh persists, it also added.
