People of more than 100 villages of Cox’s Bazar marooned due to onrush and upstream water. Iconic Rail Station authorities halted all kinds of rail movement as many areas of the rail line of the district went under water.
Station Master of Cox’s Bazar Iconic Rail Station Md Golam Rabbani confirmed the matter on Thursday noon. He said many portions of the rail line of Cox’s Bazar and Chattogram went under water due to continuous rain and upstream water. So, the movement of trains from Cox’s Bazar has been halted.
He also said Parzatak Express, Cox’s Bazar Express and special train run on this route. The decision was taken after the movement of the morning train as the flood situation deteriorated.
Meanwhile, flood situation deteriorates in many places, including Eidgaon, Chakaria and Ramu. Many houses and shops went under water. People of more than 100 villages of these upazilas were moving towards safe shelter.
