Raihan Rafi, director of the hit film "Toofan" starring Shakib Khan, has exciting news for fans eagerly awaiting a sequel.
Following the blockbuster success of "Toofan," released on June 17, Rafi confirmed in an interview with Anandabazar Patrika's online edition that he is preparing for "Toofan 2". He plans to start work on the sequel after returning from his current
US tour.
The screenplay for "Toofan 2" is being refined to promise an even more spectacular movie experience.
Most of the original cast, including Chanchal Chowdhury, will reprise their roles. Rafi hinted at the return of Mimi Chakraborty, noting her character's storyline left open in the
first film.
Mimi Chakraborty shared her excitement about the sequel on Instagram while vacationing in North Bengal, India. Meanwhile, SVF, the international distributor of "Toofan," announced on Facebook that the film is set to release in Malaysia on
July 28.
