Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) rescued a kidnap victim and detained three youths for their alleged involvement to kidnap in Savar, outskirts of capital Dhaka, on Friday.
The development came after a team of RAB-4 conducted drive at Citylen road of Savar municipality on Friday night.
The detainees were identified as Musa Kazi, 19, Jahid Hasan, 19, Ashique Hossain, 18. All are lives at citylen road in Savar. On other hand, the victim was identified as Hridoy, 14, son of Hasen Ali, hailed from Machain Village under Harirampur police station of Manikganj dist.
Jamir Uddin Ahmed, Assistant police superintendent of RAB-4 (CPC-2) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Post on Saturday.
He said the victim Hridoy, has disappeared after came to Savar from Manikganj district, for his family-related work on Friday noon, and the kidnappers asked for Tk 30,000 ransom to the victim’s family through victim’s mobile phone on Friday evening.
Later, a team of RAB member detained the three accused and rescued the victim, around 12:00 am on Friday night, after getting a complaint regarding the incident.
“A case has been filed with Savar model police station in this connection”, Jamir Uddin added.
