The anti-crime elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Monday night nabbed a fugitive convict from Paltan area in the capital Dhaka.
Deputy Director of RAB-10 Aminul Islam disclosed it on Tuesday .
The arrested was identified asAbdul Latif Bhuiyan, 55, son of late A Latif Bhuiyan of village Dhamati under Debidwar police station in Cumilla district.
We arrested the fugitive during a raid conducted by a team of RAB-10 at Paltan area on Monday night, the RAB officer said.
RAB officer Aminul Islam said the arrested person was sentenced for 47 years in five cases filed with separate police stations across the country. He had been absconding for a decade.
The arrested is an accused in several cases, including corruption, the RAB offcial added
During the primary interrogation, Latif admitted that he has been convicted over several cases, Aminul concluded.
