The members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-11 during a drive on Monday night at Modonpur area of Dhaka-Chattagram highway under Bandar police station arrested four drug peddlers with 52 kilogrammes of hemp from their possessions.
Senior Assistant superintendent of police and media officer of RAB-11 Nishat Tabassum confirmed the information in a media brief. According to the RAB, a check-post set up on the highway searched different buses bound to Dhaka, recovered 52 kilogramme of hemp and arrested four drug peddlers from a bus.
The arrested are Belal Hossain,50, son of Wadud Mia of Lokhmepur district, Imam Hossain,16, son of Sundor Ali, Abdullah Al Masud,16, son of Jamal Hossain, Habibur Rahman,15, son of Iqbal Hossain, all resident of Cumilla district.
A case was filed with Bandar police station in this connection.
