A team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-11 in a raid in the early morning on Thursday detained seven criminals with firearms and munitions from Isdair Gabtoli area under Fatulla model police station in Narayanganj.
The detainees were identified as Al-Amin 34, Rafik 52, Abir 29, Imran 51, Abir Hossain 28, Rubel 28, Mamun Hossain Shaon 30, of Isdair Gabtoli area of Sadar upazila.
RAB also recovered a pistol, three rounds of bullets, a magazine, two chapati, Chinese axe and two knives from the arrestees’ possessions.
In a media briefing, additional police super of RAB-11 Alepuddin claimed that the arrestees are the members of a new crime organisation Gangster and they commit various crimes, including eve teasing of women, snatching and threating the locals.
Another criminal and head of the group Uzzwal is absconding. In the primary interrogation, the arrestees admitted the name and others, claimed RAB.
It is mentionable that the Gangster named criminals group formed in the different areas and they are threats to the locals.
Legal procedure against the arrestees is under procedure.
