RAB-7 has arrested nine members of a teenage gang 'Tension Group' while preparing for a robbery at a tea shop in Bayezid, Chattogram.
They were arrested around 11pm on Monday.
The deceased have been identified as Md Rubel, 21, son of Obaidul Haque of Bayazid Bostami area, Md Shakil, 21, son of Md Rustam of Lalmohan area of Bhola, Md Sajib, 19, son of Nasir Gazi of Patarhat Mehendiganj, Barisal, Habib's son Md Hridoy (20), son of Dalilur Rahman of Banshkhali area Md. Habibur Rahman (24), son of Burma Colony Md Khorshed Alam of the same police station Md. Salah Uddin (19), son of Md. Kuddus of Amin Colony Md Omar Hasan ( 19), Md Sagar (19) son of late Md. Sultan of Bastuhara area, Md Saeed Alam (19) son of Abdul Gafur of Amin Colony.

RAB-7 Assistant Director (Media) Nurul Abshar said the detainees had gathered on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr to snatch valuables, gold ornaments, mobile phones and cash from home-bound people and traders of various professions in the face of domestic weapons. They confessed to being members of the Tension Group, a teenage gang. They have been handed over to Bayezid police station for further legal action.
