The members of Rapid Action battalion (RAB-11) conducted separate drives in different areas and arrested nine drug peddlers along with different categories of narcotics.
RAB recovered sixty kilogram ganja, one thousand seven hundred and two pieces Yaba pills, forty four phensidyle syrup and fifty five gram heroin from the arrestee’s possessions.
The arrested were identified as Anwar Hossain, Arif hossain, Iqbal ,Zakir , Zakir, Akter Hossain, Kamruzzaman, Kazol and Rubel Hawladar.
A team on October 11 raids at Mugdha in Dhaka and arrested Rubbel Hawladar with 2 kg ganja,
On October 13, a drug peddler Kazol was held from Goalpara area in Kishoreganj district with 1460 pieces of yaba tablets and 14 kg ganja.
Three raids conducted on October 15 at Shiddirganj, Sonargaon and Rupganj upazila in Narayanganj arrested Iqbal, Zakir, Zakir,Akter Hossain,Kamruzzaman with 53 kg ganja and 44 phensidyle syrup.
Two drug peddlers Anwar Hossain and Arif hossain were arrested in a drive with 242 yaba tablets and 55 gram heroin.
Media wing officer of RAB-11 Lieutenant Commander Mahmudul Hasan confirmed the media in a different briefing.
