The Ministry of Interior of Qatar and the Embassy of Bangladesh have jointly organised a 7-episode webinar series for the Bangladeshi community living in Qatar.
Dr. Ahmed Munirus Saleheen, Secretary of the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment was present as the chief guest. Bangladesh Ambassador to Qatar Md. Jashim Uddin chaired the event.
The Ambassador expressed gratitude to the Emir of Qatar and the government of Qatar for providing health care and free vaccines to the expatriates.
He highlighted the various activities and services of the Embassy and urged all to abide by the local rules and regulations of Qatar.
Secretary Dr. Ahmed Munirus Saleheen described the expats as the important human resource and highlighted the various activities of the Ministry taken for the expatriates.
He urged to create a positive image for the Bangladeshi community in Qatar through their competence and good conduct and to stay away from any crime, including drugs.
Dr. Nadir Abbara, an official of Qatar's Drugs Prevention Department, made a presentation titled "Drugs and Alcohol Prevention".
Officials of the Bangladesh Embassy and Interior Ministry, leaders of the Bangladesh community and about 300 expatriate Bangladeshi took part in the event.
Counselor Dr. Mustafizur Rahman thanked the participants.
