‘Pushpa 2’ set to release in Bangladesh

The highly anticipated South Indian film "Pushpa: The Rule - Part 2" is set to release in Bangladesh in Hindi, not Bengali. This decision comes after the Ministry of Commerce allowed the import of Indian films, with a quota of 10 films per year.

The initiative started with the release of "Pathaan" and was followed by hits like "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan", "Jawan", "Animal", "Dunky", and "Crew". Now, "Pushpa 2", featuring the popular actor Allu Arjun, will join this list. The movie is scheduled for a global release on August 15, with hopes that Bangladesh will release it on the same day.

"Pushpa: The Rise", the first part of the series, was a massive hit in 2021, drawing attention worldwide. Allu Arjun, known as "Pushparupi", has become a beloved figure among Bangladeshi viewers.

Initially, "Pushpa 2" was supposed to release in multiple languages, including Bengali. However, due to Bangladesh’s foreign film import policy, which bans the release of any film dubbed in Bengali, it will be screened in Hindi instead.

Anonno Mamun, head of Action Cut Entertainment, confirmed this after finalizing talks with the Indian distributor.

Despite this change, excitement remains high among fans eager to see the new chapter of Pushpa’s story.
