Prominent actress Dilara Hanif Purnima is poised to make her return to the entertainment scene after a break of a couple of months. She will be participating in the shooting of an Online Video Commercial (OVC) later this month, directed by the company's in-house director.
Purnima's last appearance was in a web series titled 'Hotel Relax,' directed by Kajal Arefin Ome.
Over the past year and a half, she was under contract with EVA Non-Sticky Coconut Hair Oil, where she worked as a model in OVCs promoting this product. Following the conclusion of her initial one-and-a-half-year contract, Purnima has recently signed an extension for two more years.
Reflecting on her recent activities, Purnima said, “After 'Hotel Relax,' I received several scripts. However, I must confess I wasn't inclined to work during the hot summer months. So, I took some time off to be with my family and enjoy some quality time. During this period, my contract with the organization concluded. They have since renewed it for an additional two years. I will be participating in their OVC shoot in the middle of this month. Following that, I will assess whether I can take on new projects, be it a film, drama, or web series, provided I come across a compelling script.”
Purnima has already completed work on the film 'Ahare Jibon,' directed by Chatku Ahmed, where she shares the screen with Ferdous Ahmed. Additionally, two movies featuring Purnima, namely 'Jam' and 'Gangchil,' both directed by Nayeem Imtiaz Neyamul, have been completed.
It's worth noting that Purnima received the National Film Award for her outstanding performance in the movie 'Ora Amake Bhalo Hote Dilona,' directed by Kazi Hayat.
Making her debut with the film 'E Jibon Tomar Amar,' directed by Zakir Hossain Raju, she has appeared in a total of 80 films to date.
