The teachers and students of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Tuesday observed Public Administration Day-2020 on the campus amid festivity and much enthusiasm. IU Public Administration department was brought out acolourful procession from in front of Mir Mosharraf Hossain academic building around 10:30am to celebrate the day.
The procession ended at Birshrestha Hamidur Rahman Auditorium after parading through the campus. Later, a discussion programme and cultural function was held here with the participants of the department. IU pro-vice chancellor Prof Dr M Shahinoor Rahman addressed the programme as chief guest while treasurer Prof Dr M Selim Toha attended as the special guest with departmental chairman Prof Dr Zufiquar Hossain in the chair.
Sadiqur Rahman and Shammi Akter Ontora, students of the department, jointly conducted the programme attended by over 500 teachers and students including Public Administration Day celebration committee convener Prof Dr Raqiba Yesmin, AKM Motinur Rahman, Prof Begum Rokshana Mili, Prof Mohammad Selim and Prof Dr Mohammed Asaduzzaman took part in the event.
