The government has decided to review the results of the exams of 44th, 45th and 46th batches of the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) under the Public Service Commission (PSC).
The PSC announced the decision in a press release on Monday (November 18).
As per the decision, the viva for the 44th batch has been cancelled and exam papers of the 45th batch would be reviewed while the preliminary exams of the 46th batch has also been scrapped.
The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has decided to republish the preliminary results of the 46th BCS (Bangladesh Civil Service) examination.
"The preliminary results of the 46th BCS examination were published on 9 May 2024, with 10,638 candidates qualifying for the written exams. However, a decision has been made to re-announce the results to include an equal number of additional candidates, aiming to eliminate possible discrimination," reads the release.
The commission stated that the newly appointed commission, comprising the chairman and eight members, has thoroughly discussed the issues related to the question paper leaks of various non-cadre exams, including the 44th, 45th, and 46th BCS exams.
The commission has taken these decisions to uphold the transparency, fairness, and impartiality of these examinations, it added.
