Protest against question papers leak

Diploma engineers looking for jobs are protesting against the leaked exam papers for the Bangladesh Railway Sub-Assistant Engineer post. The exam was conducted by the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC).

The protest started with a human chain blocking one side of the road in front of the BPSC building at 11 am on Tuesday, July 9.

Under the banner of job-seeking diploma engineers, the protesters demanded the cancellation of the candidate selection test held on July 5. They also called for the quick punishment of those involved in the question leakage and for a new exam to be conducted soon.

Recently, the leaking of question papers in many exams under the BPSC has been a hot topic. The police have arrested 17 people, including two deputy directors and a driver named Syed Abed Ali, for their involvement in this matter.

On Sunday, a private TV channel aired news titled "BCS Pre-Written and Important 30 Exam Question Papers Leaked." The news reported that question papers for various exams, including both cadre and non-cadre exams under the BPSC, have been leaked.

According to the report, the question papers for the July 5 recruitment exam for 516 railway posts were leaked. The report also claimed that a group has been leaking question papers for over a century. It said that question papers for 30 exams, including the BCS exams, have been leaked and that some officers and employees of the BPSC are involved.The protesters are demanding justice and a fair recruitment process.
