Almost all the factories of the country major exporting sector, apparel industry, restarted production as well as other normal activities from Wednesday with due enthusiasm.
The industry had no alternative to resume functioning considering it's workload and compulsion to maintain the timeframe of buyers' lead time situations.
The factory owners said that they have taken responsibility to ensure their factory and workers' safety amid the current law and order situation by themselves against the backdrop of the ongoing situation, created after resignation and leaving country by the former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in face of the student movement.
Earlier on Tuesday, the apex RMG trade body, Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) took the decisions at an emergency meeting at a city hotel .
The BGMEA also sent a message to their members and all buyers stating their decision to open all the factories from tomorrow.
Besides, the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) has sent message to all their members to reopen factories and run activities as usually .
