A prisoner of Narayanganj District Jail died recently.
Deceased Kala Chan was the accused in a murder case filed with Fatulla Model Police Station in 2006. He was the son of Ajmat Ullah of Protapnagar Village.
Superintend of Narayanganj District Jail Mokammel Hossain said, Kala Chan had been in the jail since 2022. Suddenly, he felt chest pain.
He was immediately taken to a hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment.
According to the physicians of the hospital, Kala Chan died of cardiac arrest, the jail super added.
