A man arrested in a robbery case died in Jhenidah Sadar hospital on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Nanda Kumar Das, 45, son of Gopal Chandra Das of Kullapara village in Kaliganj upapzila.
The reason behind the death cannot be traced until and unless the post mortem report is available, said the jailor of Jhenidah district prison Nizam Uddin.
He also said that Nanda landed in the district prison on October 22 in a robbery case. He was feeling pain at his chest suddenly. The prison authorities referred him to Jhenidah Sadar Hospital where the attending physician declared Nanda Kumar Das dead.
