As the release date of their new Netflix documentary "Heart of Invictus" approaches on August 30, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly embarking on a new phase of their lives, distancing themselves from royal drama and aiming for a positive response to their show.

The documentary, which follows participants from around the world at the Invictus Games—a sporting event Harry founded in 2014 to support wounded and injured servicemen and women marks the couple's transition away from their former roles as senior members of the royal family. Royal expert and PR specialist Kieran Elsby highlighted the significance of this shift, noting that while some of their endeavors have succeeded, others have not.

Eager to avoid further involvement in royal controversies, Harry and Meghan are concentrating on the success of "Heart of Invictus." Elsby emphasized the importance of the documentary's positive reception in shaping the couple's public image and steering clear of potential conflicts. By centering the narrative around the Invictus Games, the couple aims to sidestep any new royal dramas, demonstrating a strategic approach to their professional pursuits.

Prince Harry said in a statement that read, "This series will give communities around the world a window into the moving and uplifting stories of these competitors on their path to the Netherlands next year. As Archewell Productions’ first series with Netflix, in partnership with The Invictus Games Foundation, I couldn’t be more excited for the journey ahead or prouder of the Invictus community for continuously inspiring global healing, human potential and continued service.”

The trailer for "Heart of Invictus" was unveiled on Wednesday, featuring Prince Harry's words, "It is here at the Invictus Games that you realize: Whatever you carry, it was the springboard that propelled you to the next level." Comprising five episodes, the series will chronicle the stories of participants as they prepare for the 2020 Invictus Games in The Hague, the Netherlands, an event postponed to April 2022 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
