A discussion programme and prayer session was held on the occasion of National Mourning day and the 44th Martyrs day of Father of the Nation Bangabundhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members on Thursday, 29 August at 3pm at the IQAC Conference Room of Primeasia University (PU), Dhaka.
Lt Col Muhammad Faruk Khan (retd) MP, former minister, chairman, Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, The People’s Republic of Bangladesh was present in the session as the chief guest while Professor Dr Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, vice chancellor of Primeasia University presided over the programme.
AKM Ashraful Haque, treasurer, Abul Kashem Molla, registrar, Professor Sk Md Hasanuzzaman, dean, School of Engineering, Professor Dr AJM Omar Faruque, dean, School of Biological Science of the University took part in the programme as special guests. Sikder Md Anowarul Islam, proctor of the university thanked to all the participants in the programme. Masud A Khan, chairman, Better Bangladesh Foundation was the moderator of the programme.
Among others, all heads of the departments, Faculty members, Officers and Students from different departments of the university also took part in the program. The prayer was conducted by Pirzada Moulana Quaree Omar Faroque Al Nomani at the beginning of the programme.
