President Md. Abdul Hamid is going to his birthplace Mithamoin in Kishoreganj today (Sunday) to take part in the Namaz-e-Janaza of his younger brother Abdul Hye. Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kishoreganj Md. Sarwar Murshed Chowdhury confirmed the matter.
The DC said that the body of Abdul Hye would be flown to Mithamoin by helicopter at 1:00 pm. After that, he will be given last respect and state status at the freedom fighter Abdul Haque Government College ground. He will be brought to his home in Kamalpur village after the first namaz-e-janaza at 2.30 pm.
After the news of the end of Janaza in the first prayers is confirmed, the helicopter carrying the President will leave for Mithamoin and reach the local helipad. Immediately, the President will be escorted to his home in safety, where he will perform the second namaz-e-janaza with a limited number of worshipers.
After the second and last prayers, the valiant Freedom Fighter Abdul Hye will be buried in the family graveyard next to his parents' grave. Corona and considering the overall situation, the President will be kept under tight security. Even a protocol officer will not be allowed to do duty without proof of Covid-19 negative test.
