In separate condolence messages, the President and the Premier prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Besides, in a separate condolence message, Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury condoled the death of Lata Mangeshkar.
Deputy Leader of the parliament Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury and a number of cabinet members, in separate condolence messages, also expressed profound shock and sorrow at the sad demise of Mangeshkar.
Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader , Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni ,Planning Minister MA Mannan, State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid, State Minister for Planning Dr Shamsul Alam, State Minister for Labour and Employment Begum Monnujan Sufian and State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hossen expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of her.
